Enter the nutrients for one label serving. Leave unavailable values blank; enter 0 only when the label says zero.

How it works

Each entered nutrient is multiplied by the amount eaten divided by the label weight. Per-100 g mode uses 100 g as the denominator; whole-package mode uses the full food weight and full-package nutrients.

Worked example

A fictional label lists 180 kcal per 40 g. Eating 65 g gives 180 × 65 ÷ 40 = 292.5 kcal. The same multiplier, 1.625, applies to each supplied nutrient.

Example values are illustrative, not nutrition data for a specific product.

Getting a useful result

All weights are in grams. Do not enter milliliters as grams without a measured or product-specific conversion. Label rounding carries through to results. A label serving describes the product; it is not a recommendation of how much to eat.

Use the preparation state and serving basis shown on your label. The FDA Nutrition Facts guide explains how label nutrients relate to servings. Our calculator methodology documents the arithmetic and limitations.
