How to report a concern
Email support@getkalohealth.com with the page URL, the statement or value in question, why it appears incorrect, and any source that may help verify the issue. Please do not include private health information.
How corrections should be handled
- The affected page, source, calculation, and related templates should be checked.
- A safety-sensitive claim should be removed or qualified while it is being checked when leaving it in place could mislead readers.
- A material correction should update the visible content and its modification date.
- The correction note should state what was wrong and what changed without hiding the earlier error.
- If a named review no longer applies after a change, the review attribution should be removed until the new version is reviewed.
Material and minor changes
Material changes include corrected nutrient totals, formulas, source interpretation, medical or safety context, and conclusions that could change a reader's decision. Spelling, formatting, and other minor edits can be fixed without presenting the page as substantively refreshed.

Fifteen articles placed under source review
We marked 15 weight-loss, calorie-target, and AI-tracking articles noindex and withdrew them from Kalo's sitemaps, recommendations, promotional placements, and machine-readable article markup. An audit found unsupported prescriptions or product claims and several citations whose linked studies did not match their labels. The earlier article bodies are withheld until each material claim and reference is corrected. The URLs remain available with a transparent review notice.

Four-food source verification pilot
We reconciled the chicken breast, hard-boiled egg, cooked farmed Atlantic salmon, and cooked quinoa pages with exact USDA FoodData Central records. The salmon page had mixed raw and cooked values and labeled a 178-gram half fillet as a whole fillet. We corrected that preparation and serving mismatch, corrected the other pilot nutrient values, show unavailable trans fat and added sugar as not reported, and calculate vitamin D Daily Value from micrograms instead of treating the source amount as a percent.

Food-page provenance and medication claims
We removed unverified FoodData Central record IDs after checking showed that several did not match the displayed food or preparation state. We also removed medication-compatibility ratings and medication-specific FAQs from five prepared-meal pages. At that stage, all food values were labeled as Kalo estimates while record-level and ingredient-level provenance was rebuilt.

Product, privacy, and calculator wording
We removed stale rating markup and unsupported quantified product-accuracy and usage claims, replaced absolute privacy summaries with links to the policy, and changed calculator copy so equation-based estimates are not presented as exact or personalized prescriptions.
