What Kalo does

The Kalo app helps people log meals through photos, voice, text, barcode scans, and manual entry. This website explains the product and also publishes calculators, food-reference pages, comparisons, and articles about nutrition, activity, and weight management.

The educational website and the app are part of the same Kalo product. Some pages include links to download the app. Those commercial calls to action do not change the evidence a health claim should meet.

What Kalo content is not

Kalo content is educational. It does not diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, replace a clinician, or account for every medical history, medication, pregnancy, allergy, or eating-disorder concern. Nutrition values and calculator results are estimates, not laboratory measurements or individualized medical instructions.

If a page does not name a qualified reviewer, it should not be read as medically reviewed. The organizational byline Kalo Health Editorial Team does not represent an individual clinician or a clinical credential.

How to evaluate our content

Our editorial policy explains how authorship, evidence, updates, and review should be handled. Our methodology pages document how nutrition references and calculators work, including their limitations.
